The staccato guitars, big bouncy bass synth, and sparse drums of Cotton Mouth grew out of solo recordings by Montreal songwriter/producer Martin Horn meant for a split EP with Dishwasher (Martin Cesar, Think About life). While never intended as a live band, Martin nonetheless showed the boys from indie-pop outfit Parlovr some of the songs, and they demanded to help Martin play them live. Thus Cotton Mouth became a real band.

Since putting out the digital-only E.P. with Dishwasher on VillaVillaNola.com, Cotton Mouth has played In Montreal and Toronto, with a tour of Eastern Canada planned for Spring 2010. A debut full-length is also in the works to be released at the same time.
